Courses for Individuals
Mental Health First Aid
Mental Health First Aid
While physical first aid training is widespread in our community, most do not cover mental illness. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) will empower you with the skills and knowledge to help you effectively approach, listen, communicate and provide assistance to someone experiencing a mental health problem, the right way.
I recently completed a Mental Health First Aid 2-day course with Ben as our excellent facilitator. Ben was well organised, compassionate and compelling and I found the course extremely valuable both professionally (I am a Suicide Prevention Coordinator) and as a human living amongst other humans! I highly recommend Ben as a mental health trainer and hope to see Beyond All Bounds continue to grow and deliver this course to more people.
Eleanor – Suicide Prevention Co-Ordinator
Ben is an engaging, knowledgeable facilitator. Ben managed the group well and responded to all questions and discussions with openness. The course is applicable to all workplaces and personal situations and would be beneficial to anyone and everyone. Learning about Ben’s personal story was of particular interest and it was heart-warming to see him take on a role as an educator, with clearly so much to offer. Ben’s innate characteristics make him a natural facilitator.
Karyn – HR Manager
Ben was a very knowledgeable, engaging and open facilitator – it was a surprise to learn that this is a new venture for him! He created a safe space for all participants to be inquisitive and shared personal stories which added unique perspectives to the rich learning environment he created. I highly recommend Ben for any organisation seeking a high impact and practical Mental Health First Aid training course!
Michelle, Manager HR Development – Department of Training and Workforce Development
Ben is a very knowledgeable trainer and delivers the course in an engaging and informative manner. I believe all businesses need to train staff to be able to deliver this much needed assistance to people in and outside their workplace. As a small business owner, I found this to be an invaluable tool, as well as clarifying some myths around mental illness. Absolutely, 100% recommend Ben and Beyond All Bounds.
Susan – Yogi, Meditation Teacher
Excellent presentation style; easy-going, respectful, courteous and knowledgeable. The content flowed extremely easily. Conscious of the needs of the group. An absolute natural.
Alex – School Teacher
Absolutely loved this course! Ben was an amazing instructor and shared his real-life experiences with us by being vulnerable with his own stories. This allowed us to connect and understand him. This course gives you a massive insight into everyone’s day to day struggles. Having this course under your belt equips you with the basic tools to help people in need. Highly recommend!
Jake, NLP Master Coach
I’ve been on many courses, but these last two days it was almost like I was learning everything again for the first time but from a different perspective, and this was profoundly powerful. The instructor taught compassion and empathy just through his conviction alone. His passionate guidance, bold authenticity and honesty were invaluable.
Jessica, Occupational Therapist
Attended a Mental Health 2-day workshop by Ben recently and was extremely impressed by not only the delivery but his ability to share his own personal experiences which made it significantly more real. This is a must-do course and would highly recommend Ben and B.A.B.
Mark, Life Coach
I spent my weekend studying the mental health first aid course. This is something I’m very passionate about and as someone who has suffered from depression/anxiety, I learnt a lot and found this course super rewarding. I highly recommend this course to everyone.
Matt, Roofing Technician
An excellent course. I now have the knowledge to recognise someone with a mental health problem. Wished I had them before my daughter was diagnosed with bipolar and depression.
